Content Strategy Lead Application

Job Description

Social Brew Toronto is a content agency specializing in short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok. We help high-performing entrepreneurs and businesses grow their personal brands, generate leads, and scale their influence with impactful video content.

We’re looking for a Content Strategy Lead who can take ownership of the content side of client accounts. This is a leadership role where you will oversee the copywriting and editing team, review and approve scripts, ensure content performance, and drive account growth — freeing up the founder to focus on strategy and scaling.

Responsibilities

Content Oversight & Quality Control
1. Review and approve scripts from the copywriting team.
2. Ensure scripts follow brand voice, storytelling principles, and proven short-form frameworks.
3. Step in as a copywriter when needed (write/adjust hooks, scripts, captions).
Content Strategy & Growth
1. Identify trends, opportunities, and strategies to improve account performance.
2.Ensure content is not only delivered but delivers results (growth, engagement, conversions).
3. Stay ahead of platform trends, especially Instagram Reels and TikTok.
Team Leadership
1. Work closely with the founder, production lead, operations manager, copywriters, and editors.
2. Provide clear, constructive feedback to improve team output.
3. Oversee deadlines and ensure smooth creative workflow.
Client Results & Accountability
1. Take ownership of client outcomes tied to content performance.
2. Present insights, results, and content recommendations to the founder.
3. Uphold quality standards across all accounts.

Requirements

1. 2–3+ years proven experience creating, managing, and scaling short-form content (Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts).
2. Strong understanding of hooks, storytelling, retention tactics, and audience psychology.
3. Experience leading a creative/content team (copywriters, editors, strategists).
4. Ability to spot what works vs. what doesn’t in short-form content.
5. Track record of growing accounts or generating measurable results (please include portfolio/examples).
6. Strong copywriting skills — able to step in and write scripts if necessary.
7. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
8. Not a fresher — must bring proven experience and results.
